KFWF needed a new website to make it easier to post news articles, provide a platform for forms that record ticket sales of the Deer Hunt, Bull Elk Tag drawing, other fundraisers, that would accept donations to sponsor youth to summer camps, and provide information on the camps available for kids interested in the outdoors. The Drupal framework was used because of its flexibility, ecommerce capabilities, and granular control over content placement. Ease of use was important so that staff could complete text changes and post articles without a webmaster.
They also opted to use Little Green Light, a CRM database specifically designed for donor management, to migrate their extensive records of past donors and members. LGL is an extremely user friendly CRM that integrates with multiple third-party applications such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, PayPal and applications to graphically report on donations, verify addresses, and manage land acquisitions through donors. It also allows event registrations, volunteer records and targeted communications through email, or by generating print mailings and donor acknowledgements.
The Kentucky Fish & Wildlife Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Through charitable donations by individuals and corporate sponsors, the Foundation works with the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources to support the efforts of the Salato Wildlife Education Center, conservation education programs for Kentucky youth, and the acquisition of land and wetlands for wildlife habitat.
